Munich is famous for being home to some of the best breweries in the world. Names like 'Löwenbräu' and 'Paulaner' are internationally renowned. The so-called purity law originated in Munich, where it was formulated in 1487 and still applies today. It was not until 1516 that this law was expanded to all of Bavaria, declaring that beer could only be brewed with water, hops, and malt. There are also many other smaller breweries in the city, including Augustiner, Hofbräu, Spaten or Hacker-Pschorr. We shall be visiting the Brewery Erding
